I’m delighted to be able to share the news that I’m going to be studying towards a Masters in Imperial and Global History at the University of Exeter.
Joining the Masters cohort as a mature student this September is a privilege that’s come about largely off the back of researching and writing Avarice of Empire.
The one-year, taught programme will further develop my historical research skills and my understanding of the history of empires and globalisation.
The third term will be focused on a research project of my own. Although that won’t be defined for a while yet it will likely relate to trans-oceanic telegraphy, which was an important recurring theme during my research into the story of Captain Charles Agnew.
